"Based on the clarification (by the two prosecutors) and investigations by the Junior Attorney General for Supervision, there was no case," Attorney General HM Prasetyo said here on Friday.
The two said they were not aware of an attempt to bribe them in order to stop investigation into a corruption case involving fund belonging to the state company PT Brantas Abipraya, Prasetyo added.
He said AGO has handed over to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) the result of the the internal investigation concerning possible ethical code and disciplinary violation.
"Let the KPK go ahead with further investigations," he said.
On March 31 KPK nabbed two senior executives of PT Brantas Sudi Wantoko, and Dandung Pamularno and an individual Marudut at a hotel in Jakarta and confiscated US$148,835.
The money was allegedly to be used to bribe Sudung and Tomo and it was to be handed over by Marudut to Sudung who knows Marudut well.
