"President Jokowi will make a state visit to South Korea to meet the invitation of Park Geun-hye," Yusup remarked here on Thursday.
He said during the visit, President Jokowi will be accompanied by the foreign affairs minister, coordinating minister for economy, trade minister, chief of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board, and chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission.
At least nine memoranda of understanding (MoUs) will be inked between the governments of Indonesia and South Korea during the visit.
South Korea is the fifth-largest investor in Indonesia, with a total investment of US$1.2 billion in 2015, while the value of bilateral trade had reached $30 billion in 2011.
In addition to South Korea, President Jokowi will conduct a working visit to Russia to attend the 20th Anniversary Summit of ASEAN-Russia in Sochi on May 18-20, 2016. (*)
