The NTE also served as a platform to promote 10 new Indonesian tourist destinations apart from Bali, spokesman of the Indonesian Embassy Pramudya Sulaksono noted on Wednesday.
The new tourist destinations are Lake Toba; Mandalika in Lombok; the islands of Belitung, Tanjung Lesung, Kepulauan Seribu, and Komodo; Borobudur temple; Mount Bromo; and the Wakatobi and Morotai national parks.
The Indonesian visa-free policy is being offered to 169 countries, including Namibia and Angola.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Ambassador to the Republics of Namibia and Angola Eddy Basuki stated that the embassy had participated in the NTE 2016 to lure more foreign tourists from Namibia, which is viewed as a potential market by Indonesia.
