Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla will visit Malaysia to attend the 25th World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN in Kuala Lumpur from Wednesday to Thursday, a press statement from the Indonesian Embassy noted here, Tuesday.

In the company of Chairman of the Vice Presidential Expert Team Sofyan Wanandi and Education and Higher Learning Minister Anies Baswedan, the vice president, on the occasion, will deliver an opening speech on "Shaping the ASEAN Agenda for Inclusion and Growth."

On the sidelines of the WEF on ASEAN, Kalla is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with numerous noted figures, including Prime Minister Dato Seri Haji Mohammad Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, member of the Managing Board of the WEF Dr Phillip Rosler, and the representative of Amnesty International.

WEF is an international organization that offers a platform for the business community, intellectuals, politicians, and government.

The forum will discuss not only economic issues but also other important matters relating to environment, health, and food, among others.

The meeting is expected to serve as an ideal platform for decision makers from different sectors to facilitate greater collaboration between the industry, government, and civil society to address challenges in the region.
