This is a part of our efforts to smoothen the flow of the homecoming public during Ramadan and Eid holiday."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State owned Bank, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), is preparing an electronic money system named BNI Tap Cash along five homecoming routes in Java -- Cikampek, Purbaleunyi, Cipali, Palikanci and Kanci Pejagan toll roads.
BNI Company Secretary Kiryanto said in his statement in Jakarta on Monday that the electronic payment services at five toll road routes are expected to help reduce the traffic jams during homecoming season as these would make it easier to make payments.
"This is a part of our efforts to smoothen the flow of the homecoming public during Ramadan and Eid holiday," he said.
Kiryanto further explained that BNI Tap Cash can already be used at JORR toll road, Rorotan-Pondok Tanji route, Ulujami-Meruya, BORR South Bogor/Sentul, Jakarta Tangeran and Jagorawi to Cibubur routes.
With effect from June 13, the BNI Tap Cash function can also be used as a mode of payment at public facilities and leisure services, such as Transjakarta bus, Jabodetabek Commuter Train, electronic parking Reska, and Kualanamu airport railway in Medan.
Furthermore, the service is also available for purchases made in Gajah Mada University Foodpark, entrance ticket to Snowbay Waterpark, Alfamart and Lawson in Jabodetabek region, Electronic parking terminals in Jakarta, and a number of other stores with the Tap Cash logo.
Aside from BNI, another state-owned bank, PT Mandiri also provides electronic money (e-money) as non-cash payment alternative in Cikopo-Palimanan, Kanci-Pejagan, and Pejagan-East Brebes routes, effective today.
"The Jakarta-East Brebes route is the main route for road users from Jakarta or Bandung, West Java to the East, so they will not have to queue up to pay the toll road cost," said Mandiri secretary Rohan Hafas.
