Jokowi expressed his hope that the MTQ which has been entrenched in the community in the country can characterize the face of Muslims and the people of Indonesia.

According to him, the purpose and meaning of MTQ activities is not just a major achievement, but even more important is the way how to understand the meaning of Quran and to apply in everyday life.

"In addition, I hope that we can hold firmly the essence of the meaning and purpose of the MTQ in order to be able to absorb the meaning of Holy Quran and practice it in our everyday life," the president reiterated.
