Until Friday, July 29, four of the people died, head of the contagious disease division of the district health service dr Firman Rahmutallah said here on Saturday.
Dr Firman expressed concern that the carrier of the disease mosquito Aedes aegypti would breed faster in rainy season.
The disease generally attacked densely populated areas like Rangkasbitung, Cibadak, Wanasalam, Kalanganyar, Maja, Sajira, Cipanas, Malingping, Bayah and Warunggunung.
"We called on people living in the endemic areas to work together to prevent the spread of the disease by maintaining clean environment," he said. (*)
