Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Reported on Monday inflation in July 2016 was recorded at 0.69 percent with year-to-date inflation at 1.76 percent and year-on-year at 3.21 percent.

The increasing trend of inflation, particularly in the food and transportation groups during the post-fasting Lebaran festivities, boosted the inflation rate in July 2016 by 0.69 percent month-on-month, the BPS said.

The 0.69 inflation in July is the lowest inflation over the past five years, Suryamin said.

The 3.21 percent year-on-year inflation and the 1.76 percent year-to-date inflation were still in line with the assumption set in the Revised 2016 State Budget at 4 percent and the Bank Indonesia projection of 3-5 percent.(*)
