Hopefully, around 30,000 people from Indonesia and other countries will visit the expo."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Many small, medium and large scale defense industries participated in the Indo Defense Expo and Forum 2016 held at the Jakarta International Expo, Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu stated.
"The Indo Defense expo this time not only had world-class companies from various countries but also small-and medium-sized defense industries," he stated here on Wednesday.
He noted that the domestic and foreign defense industries were offered a major opportunity to display their defense products.
The Indo Defense Expo and Forum 2016 was also aimed at promoting domestic defense industries to the rest of the world, he noted.
"In this context, this expo also became a platform for participants to establish cooperation among themselves," he added.
A total of 176 delegates from 30 countries participated in the Indo Defense Expo and Forum 2016, with 20 of them setting up pavilions during the three-day event.
"Hopefully, around 30,000 people from Indonesia and other countries will visit the expo," he pointed out.
He commented that the international scale expo will give a chance to participants to sign cooperation agreements in the economic field.
A total of 844 companies---573 foreign companies and 271 domestic ones---took part in the expo.
