On behalf of the Laos government, Director General of Civil Aviation Vanpheng Chantaphone gave the certificate after a team of the Laos Civil Aviation Ministry inspected PT Mitra Aviasi Perkasa in Jakarta from December 7 to 9, 2016, according to a press statement of the Indonesian Embassy in Vientiane received on Tuesday.
"The award not only does convey the satisfaction of the Laos government to Indonesia in the aviation sector, but also shows the quality of the civil aviation school in Indonesia, which is progressing, amid the growth of domestic flights, as expected to reach 15 percent in 2016," the Indonesian Ambassador to Laos Irmawan Emir Wisnandar disclosed.
The award was received by Septo Sudiro, chief executive officer of PT Mitra Aviasi Perkasa.
Septo expressed his appreciation to the Laos government over the award, saying that it was a confirmation of the quality and professionalism of the pilot school he led.
Meanwhile, the Indonesia National Air Carriers Association recorded that as many as 82.4 million passengers used air services in 2015.
Moreover, the International Air Transport Association predicted that the number of passengers using air services will reach 270 million in 2034, and make Indonesia the worlds sixth largest market in passenger airline services.(*)
