We hope that the Sawarkawafor tourism area would be able to attract domestic and foreign tourists."
Jayapura (ANTARA News) - Papua will, in the near future, inaugurate the Sawarkawafor undersea tourism attraction located in Supiori and Biak Numfor.

The ecotourism area had been developed since 2016, Yoseph Matutina, head of the Papua tourism office, stated here, recently.

"We hope that the Sawarkawafor tourism area would be able to attract domestic and foreign tourists," he affirmed.

He is optimistic that the development of ecotourism would help boost the regional economy and improve the welfare of the local community.

Biak Numfor is known for its beautiful undersea panorama, particularly in Padaedo, which is similar to Raja Ampat, West Papua.

Supiori District has several undersea caves located in the Rani Isle.
