"The disclosure of the case was based on information about the alleged drug transaction in Baper area of Senyabang village, Batang Tarang, Sanggau, West Kalimantan. According to the information, the officers managed to secure ROB and RIZ shortly after the suspects have received the drugs on Sunday," Head of BNN Commissioner-General (Police) Budi Waseso said here on Wednesday.
However, he said that the officer was forced to shot dead the suspect (S), a courier of the drugs, during the arrest, as the suspect had attempted to fight off the officers.
Subsequently, the BNN officers arrested the buyer of the goods namely the suspect ABD at Supadio airport as he wanted to leave Indonesia.
"When ABD was asked to mention other suspects, he was brave to fight against the officers, then the officer finally took a firm action and shot dead the suspect in Beting area, Pontianak on Tuesday (April 11)," he revealed.
Meanwhile, the two suspects namely ROB and RIZ had involved in a drug distribution in March 2017. Both of them had taken shabu-shabu in the area of Parit Mayor, Pontianak, as they got a wage of Rp5 million.
"Related to the disclosure of the 15.31 kilogram of shabu-shabu in West Kalimantan province, BNN saved more than 76,595 children of the nation from drug abuse," he explained.
The suspects are threatened with Article 114 Paragraph 2 or Article 132 Paragraph 1 and Article 112 paragraph 2 or Article 132 Paragraph 1, Law Number 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics with a maximum threat of death penalty.(*)
