Presidential Communications Office (PCO) head Hasan Nasbi said the first address, scheduled for 9 a.m., will be delivered to the MPR.
"In tomorrow morning's address, the President will report the government’s performance over the past 300 days, or nearly 10 months," Nasbi said at a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday.
Over that period, the government has launched several quick-win programs, including free nutritious meals for schoolchildren, free health checks, construction of regional hospitals, tuberculosis eradication, school renovations, national food stockpiles, and various social and business assistance initiatives.
In the economic sector, it has written off non-performing small business loans worth trillions of rupiah. In infrastructure, it has accelerated the construction of dams, irrigation systems, schools, roads, and other strategic projects.
The second address, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. before the DPR's plenary session, will present the 2026 Draft State Budget (RAPBN).
According to the Ministry of Finance, preparing the state budget is a lengthy process involving detailed calculations and close coordination with the DPR to ensure effective use of funds.
The budget cycle begins in January–July with planning and setting national priorities, followed by discussions from August to December until the bill becomes law. After enactment, the Budget Implementation Document (DIPA) is prepared for presentation by the president.
Budget execution in the following year is monitored through semiannual reports and the Central Government Financial Report (LKPP), audited by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) for transparency and accountability.
Nasbi added that under guidelines for the 80th Independence Day celebration issued by the State Secretary on August 12, all government institutions, private entities, and the public are encouraged to watch both speeches live via radio, television, YouTube, and other streaming platforms.
