Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) spent the night in Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan province, on Saturday as part of a aeries of working visits to several provinces in the country.

The president traveled to South Kalimantan from a visit to Gampong Lhong Raya, Banda Aceh, Aceh Provinisi, where he opened the 15th Farmers and Fishermen National Week 2017.

"Exactly at 05.28 western Indonesia time, the Presidential Plane Indonesia-1 which carried President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo landed at Syamsudin Noor Airport in Banjarbaru city, South Kalimantan after 3-hour and 20-minute flight from Banda Aceh," the Press Media and Information Bureau at the Presidential Secretariat said in a press statement released on Saturday.

To reach Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu district, South Kalimantan, the president flew by a presidential plane RJ-85 for 20 minutes.

The head of state will start his working visit in Tanah Bumbu on Sunday (May 7).

Among the government officials who accompanied the president during the flight from Syamsudin Noor Airport to Bersujud Airport were Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Health Minister Nila Moeloek and chief of the presidential staff Teten Masduki.(*)
