Bandung, W Java, May 21 (Antara) - Senior musician Leo Kristi passed away at Immanuel Hospital in Bandung, West Java, early Sunday after receiving intensive medical treatment, the hospital said.

"Leo Kristi died this morning at 01.00 a.m.," spokesman for the hospital Yoktaf Oktara said in a short text message on Sunday.

Leo, who was born in Surabaya, East Java, on August 8, 1949 had been treated at the hospitals high care unit for three weeks before he died early Sunday at the age of 67.

However, the hospital refused to divulge what disease Leo suffered.

Leo was known as an adventure musician who enjoyed his music career on the street. He, along with Gombloh and Franky Sahilatua set up a progressive rock band called Lemon Tress.
