"There will be no cabinet reshuffle today or this week," the President said after inspecting the construction of low-cost landed houses in the Pesona Bukit Batuan housing complex in Batu Ampar, East Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Thursday.
The issue of cabinet reshuffle surfaced in the past few days following a rumor that President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla will evaluate the performance of cabinet ministers.
But he added he does not see whether there will be a cabinet shakeup in the long run.
"I dont know," he said.
He also declined to comment on a number of ministers who will allegedly be replaced. "As I said earlier, there will be no cabinet reshuffle today or this week," he said.
The President has twice reshuffled his cabinet since he came to office in October 2014. In August 2015, he reshuffled his cabinet by replacing six ministers. On July 27 last year, he announced the lineup of his new cabinet, which saw nine new names replacing previous officials in a move he believed would create a more efficient cabinet.(*)
