On the occasion, attended by scores of travel agents, Indonesian Ambassador to Bahrain Nur Syahrir Rahardjo introduced his country as a tourist destination, with an array of natural beauty, unique arts and culture, and special culinary delicacies.
"Indonesia has several interesting tourist destinations, culinary delights, beautiful underwater parks, and traditional and modern markets that provide a variety of interesting souvenirs," Rahardjo remarked.
The Indonesian ambassador also stated that the national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia Airlines is ready to serve tourists keen on visiting various tourist areas in the country.
Meanwhile, Visit Indonesia Tourism Officer (VITO) for Middle East representative Nour Aridi elaborated on Indonesia, as a tourist destination, offering a variety of attractions, with unique and natural beauty, which are worth visiting.
Aridi spoke at length about the various tourist destinations, ranging from Sabang to Merauke.
VITO is a partner of the Ministry of Tourism that focuses on the media segment and the tourism industry abroad. Through VITO, Indonesian tourism is effectively promoted in international markets, including in the Middle East region.
VITO began in 2005 in three countries and until now has expanded its reach in 13 countries.
