"On Sunday morning the Foreign Minister will depart to Singapore to launch three products and applications at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore for Indonesian workers in Singapore," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir said here on Thursday.
Arrmanatha mentioned the three products of Indonesian migrant workers services in Singapore to be launched by the Foreign Minister are the Indonesian Working Card for seafarers, Online Job Order applications, and Integrated BPJS (Social Security Administration) Card for Employment.
The Indonesian Working Card for seafarers uses chips containing various information and personal data about a seafarer.
Meanwhile, the Online Job Order application aims to assist an agent employing Indonesian migrant workers to legalize online workers` documents to the Embassy.
"The three products for Indonesian workers will be launched on Sunday afternoon at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore. About 2,000-3,000 Indonesian migrant workers will be attending the event," he said.
The service products for Indonesian migrant workers are an action taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the RI Representative for Indonesian citizens abroad.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has changed the principle of services for Indonesians. We also strengthen the legal system by working with relevant ministries and agencies," Arrmanatha said.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also increased the capacity of human resources, especially officials who are stationed abroad for consular services.
