... the Chinese government has prepared a cooperation program to offer scholarships and research and scientific publications ..."Palangka Raya (ANTARA News) - Muhammadiyah University (UM) of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan Province, has established cooperation in several academic fields with numerous universities in China.
"We focus on cooperation in the fields of engineering and health due to the availability of majors in Unhas," Vice Rector I Academic Affairs of Unhas Dr Sonedi stated here on Friday.
The cooperation between UM of Palangka Raya and Shenzhen University, Jinan University, and Hubei University of Technology was forged through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
An MoU was also inked between UM of Palangka Raya and Beijing Union University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and University of International Business and Economics.
He stated that one of the opportunities offered through the cooperation is the exchange program of lecturers and UM students with local universities in China.
"Moreover, the Chinese government has prepared a cooperation program to offer scholarships and research and scientific publications, including those by `visiting scholars.` Meanwhile, we will explore areas in accordance with the rules and regulations in Indonesia for the joint-degree program," he explained.
He conveyed that the signing of the cooperation agreement was conducted during a series of visits in China on April 14-16, 2018.
During the visit, UM of Palangka Raya had attended along with the Indonesia-China University Alliance.
