Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited scenes of church bomb attacks in Surabaya, East Java, on Sunday.

He was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Indonesia Police chief General Tito Karnavian, military commander Hadi Tjahjanto and head of the National Intelligence Agency, General Budi Gunawan.

President Jokowi visited two churches that had been attacked. At the GKI Christian church the President stayed for about five minutes.

At a Pentecostal church on Jalan Arjuna he talked for quite some time with Wiranto, Tito, Tjahjanto and Budi Gunawan

Eleven people have so far been reported dead after the incidents that occurred minutes after one another during service time in the morning and 41 others have been wounded.

The first bomb attack occurred at around 7.30am at a Catholic church in Ngagel and two others within five minutes from each other later.
