"There are three important sectors to be developed. The first phase is infrastructure, the second is investment in human resources, and the third is technology," the president said here on Tuesday.
According to Widodo, the government is constructing the infrastructure sector using limited budget. Thus, he focused on building several infrastructures to achieve tangible results.
The government is focusing on developing ports, airport, electricity lines, as well as road access.
Widodo has attended the National Regional House of Representatives Workshop in Ancol of Jakarta.
In his speech, Jokowi remarked that the government has allocated the budget for development projects based on the priority-scale program.
He added that a development gap has occurred between the eastern region and western region of Indonesia.
The differences in logistics cost has also caused the hike in prices of groceries in eastern area, including Papua region.
Widodo also asked the Regional House of Representatives not to publish many local regulations.
He asked the legislator to create detail regulations for long term of necessity.
"Besides, the local administration should provide fast service for business licensing and give the community the opportunity to innovate and develop creative products," Widodo pointed out.
