Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - The United States Government has not issued a ban to its citizens to visit Indonesia, following a series of terror acts.

"We had issued security messages, but it was only for Sunday (May 13) when the incident took place in Surabaya," US Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Erin McKee said here on Tuesday (May 15).

Furthermore, she stated that there was no additional warning or ban for US citizens to visit Indonesia.

According to MacKee, the US Embassy in Jakarta and the Consulate General in Surabaya (East Java) continue to operate as usual.

She remarked that the US government strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in three churches in Surabaya.

The terror acts have attacked peace, which has been established for a long time, she added.

"The United States is strongly against terrorism. The United States stands with the people of Indonesia," she asserted.

Indonesia and the US have worked together for many years in an effort to combat terrorism.

She noted that the US government is ready to provide assistance in relation to the investigation and disclosure of the mastermind behind the terrorist acts.
