The statement was made by Director General of Air Transportation, from Indonesia`s Ministry of Transportation, Agus Santoso, while visiting the Adi Soemarmo Airport in Solo, Central Java, on Wednesday.
"This is a result of the efforts made by all stakeholders in Indonesia`s aviation sector, especially regulators and operators, as well as the general public," he noted.
The Ministry, he continued, surely welcomed the decision, as Indonesia had been making serious efforts to have Europe lift the ban on all Indonesian Airlines.
"This could surely be counted as one of our achievements, as we had been able to increase the USOAP effective implementation score from the International Civil Aviation Organization, which consists of 192 countries," he remarked.
He also stated that Indonesia had been able to increase its position to the first category in the US` Federal Aviation Administration rankings.
"All 55 Indonesian airlines will now be qualified to fly in the European Union area as we have made this achievement," he pointed out.
