"Prof Din Syamsuddin has said this Islamic boarding school will become an international campus, and I believe it is not a dream only, but the dream will come true," Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin quoted President Jokowi as saying in a written statement received here on Monday.
While inaugurating the Dea Malela Islamic boarding school on Sunday, President Jokowi lauded the layout of the boarding school that stands in the mountains.
"I see the buildings are very well organized, and the layout is very good, with contours (going) up and down, overlooking beautiful mountains and hills," the president affirmed.
With the presence of various supporting facilities at the Dea Malela Islamic boarding school, the president also believes it will become the center of Islamic education that excels in the country and the international world.
The school is equipped with the facilities of libraries, study buildings, mosques, and homesteads.
Moreover, the president has invited the people to jointly preserve the diverse gifts bestowed upon the state of Indonesia.
This has been done in order to maintain the greatest assets of the Indonesian nation -- unity, harmony, and brotherhood -- to remain strong and intertwined among the community.
"I invite all of us to continue to nurture and care for our ukhuwah Islamiyah, taking care of, and keeping our ukhuwah wathoniyah, as this is our joint duty," the president noted.
