Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian hajj pilgrims enjoying the "Makkah Road" facility, which is a privileged service from the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to launch their journey of worship, arrived at King Abdulazis International Airport, Jeddah, on Monday (July 30).
"They are the first hajj pilgrims with the `fast track` or `al-masar as-sari` service to arrive in Saudi. Al-masar as-sari is an important part of the grand project of "Makkah Route," which is the latest innovation of Saudi Arabia in providing services for the comfort of Indonesian pilgrims, whose number is the largest worldwide," RI?s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Agus Maftuh Abegebriel, told Antara via a short message received here on Monday.
He added that the so-called "immigration toll" digital innovation allows the immigration process to take place at Jakarta airport. In addition, pilgrims do not need to line up their luggage at the airport in Saudi Arabia because it would be taken care of and delivered to their hotels directly.
"Approximately, it only takes a maximum of 15 minutes for pilgrims to get on to the buses which take them to their hotels," the Ambassador noted.
He added that the Indonesian Government deeply appreciated the facilities provided by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the form of extraordinary innovation to the Indonesian pilgrims.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Defense Attach? Brigadier General Drajad Bima Yoga revealed that the first batch of Indonesian hajj pilgrims arriving at King Abdulazis Airport Jeddah has experienced the new system of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia in immigration.
Through this service, the hajj pilgrims gain immigration services from the Government of Saudi Arabia since departing from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta.
This system is a form of development of Saunesia (Saudi-Indonesia) cooperation in improving the speed of service by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Indonesian pilgrims, Drajad pointed out.
