Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) said there are 17 companies in the list planning initial public offering (IPO).

"There are 17 companies in the IPO pipeline at BEI expected to be listed this year," BEI Director for Corporation Evaluation I Gede Nyoman Yetna said here on Wednesday.

The companies operate in property, trade, service, transport , tourism and oil and gas sectors, Nyoman Yetna said.

He said he encouraged small and medium companies to enter the stock market to expand their business.

"In principle, we want to encourage as many as possible companies to enter the stock market," he said.

He said there are also eight companies planning to issue corporate bonds totaling in value at Rp13.76 trillion in the remaining months of the year. obligations.
