Bekasi, W Java (ANTARA News) - The Palestinian U-23 national team expressed dissatisfaction over the 0-0 draw score against Taiwan in the men`s soccer match of group A of the 18th Asian Games which was held at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, here on Friday.

"We consider the result as a lesson. We will play better and stronger in the next game," Palestinian U-23 national team coach Ayman Sandouqa said after the match.

Ayman said further, when competing against Taiwan, his squad felt exhausted as the team had just arrived in Indonesia on Wednesday (Aug.

8).

However, he refused to make exhaustion as a reason which led to the draw score. The slick appearance of Taiwan goalkeeper Wenchieh Pan, which frustrated at least four golden opportunities for Palestine, was not considered as a determinant of a draw.

"Their goal keeper is good. But that happened because our players` shots were more often directed at the goalkeeper (position)," said Ayman.

The 45-year-old coach also asked his players to focus on the next match against Laos on Sunday (Aug 12) at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, starting at 04:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Standard time (WIB).

They are required to win three points in the match in order to maintain the chance of qualifying from the group phase.

"We focus on facing Laos. We don`t want to break the concentration into other matches including our third match against Indonesia," Ayman said.

The Palestinian U-23 national team match against Taiwan U-23 national team ended in a 0-0 draw, in the continuation of the 18th Asian Games 2018 men`s soccer group match on Friday.

The results of the match which took place at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in Bekasi, Palestine and Taiwan temporarily both are in second place in Group A. The top of group A was still dominated by Hong Kong U-23 national team after defeating Laos 3- 1 in its inaugural match.
