Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President Candidate Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno told the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) that had not given money worth Rp500 billion to the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

Uno went to the KPK building, Jakarta, on Tuesday, to report his assets. He was also received directly by the Director of Registration and Examination on Wealth Report of State Officials (LHKPN), Cahya Harefa, of KPK.

"I told Harefa that I denied the report. I underlined that the report is not true," he remarked, after reporting his assets.

Previously, Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party Andi Arief stated that Uno had given Rp500 billion as dowry.

Furthermore, Uno also appreciated the process of reporting wealth.

One of the conditions for President and Vice President nomination is the receipt of the LHKPN.

"I appreciate this process, and I want our election in the future to be transparent, clean, and answer the aspirations of the people, so that the acceleration of development, especially in the economic sector, in opening jobs and ensuring the price of food and basic commodities is affordable with "good governance" and with "best practice," he noted.

Uno was accompanied by former minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Sudirman Said, while reporting his assets.

Said claimed to be a member of the Subianto-Uno winning team in the 2019 Presidential Election.

"I helped Mr. Uno with several things. What is to be underlined here is that Mr. Uno and Subianto want the election to run well. The financial matters must be managed transparently from today. So, there is no story of giving dowry or anything, "Said revealed.
