Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chinese wushu athlete Peiyuan Sun won a gold medal collecting 9.75 points from the final round of men's Changquan category in the Asian Games 2018, here on Sunday.

The silver medal went to Indonesian athlete Edgar Xavier Marvelo collecting 9.72 points.

The bronze medal went to Chinese Taipei athlete Tsemin Tsai with 9.70 points.

The 18th Asian Games is being co-host by Jakarta and Palembang in South Sumatra Province, from Aug 18 to Sept 2 this year.

Some 17 thousand athletes and officials from 45 Asian countries have registered for the Games. Overall, more than 11,000 athletes will be vying for medals in 40 sports and 67 disciplines.
