Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chief of the Indonesian Wushu Executive Board Airlangga Hartarto stated that the gold medal won by Lindswell Kwok has met the targeted achievement that the Board had previously set for 2018 Asian Games.

He stated that Indonesia`s opportunity to win more gold medals is still open in other sport categories in the Asian Games.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), we have reached the target we had set, but there are other competitions in which we hope our talented athletes will make great achievements," he said in JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Monday.

He expressed hope that the gold medal, won by Lindswell Kwok, can inspire all wushu athletes across Indonesia to give out their best performances.

He further revealed that the Indonesian Wushu Executive Board has prepared three cars for the achieving athletes as bonuses for their stellar performances.

"We have prepared three cars; hopefully, we will see more achievements. The Ministry of Youth and Sports has prepared rewards for them, and the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform has prepared civil apparatus status for them," he added.

Kwok won a gold medal in the Tijiquan-Tijijian women number, after emerging first with the highest point among her competitors.

In the number, she got 19.50 point, with an even division between Tijiquan and Taijijian, with 9.75 each.
