Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s male gymnast Agus Prayoko grabbed a bronze medal in artistic gymnastics here, Friday, recording the first medal for Indonesia in the event since its participation in the Asian Games.

Prayoko scored 14.125 points after two attempts in the final round of the event. In the first attempt, he had scored 14.225 while in the second, 14.025.

The gold medal was awarded to Wai Hung Shek from Hong Kong after scoring 14.612 points, while the silver medal went to Hansol Kim from South Korea, with a score of 14.550.

After the match, Prayoko admitted to being nervous while entering the final round.

"At first, I was nervous, but then I thought of finishing it. I did not care about medals," he remarked.

Prayoko said his achievement was in line with expectations.

"To me, I hope it was as (per what) the coach had also expected. I am quite satisfied," he noted.

Prayoko had won a silver medal in the Southeast Asian Games in 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
