Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Saudi Arabia won gold medal in Equestrian jumping at the 18th Asian Games held at Jakarta International Equestrian Park (JIEP), Pulomas, here on Tuesday.

In the team jumping finals, Japan won a silver medal, and Qatar won a bronze medal.

In the final round, Saudi collected minimal penalties of 10.90 only.

Saudi`s Equestrian jumping team comprised Ramzy Hamad Alduhami, with his horse named Ted; Khaled Abdulrahman Almobty (Desert Storm II); Khaled Abdulaziz Aleid (Kayenne of De Rocky Mounten); and Abdullah Waleed Sharbatly (Carrera).

Japanese team consisted of Taizo Sugitani, with his horse named Heroine De Muze; Shota Ogumori (Sig Iron Man); Toshiki Masui (Carthagena 6); and Daisuke Fukushima (Cornet 36). Japan recorded penalties 12.74.

Qatar`s team comprised Hamad Alattiayah, with his horse named Clinton; Salmen Alsuwaidi (Cantaro 32), Ali Althani (Sirroco); and Basem Mohammed (Argelith Squid). The team`s penalties were 20.50.

The equestrian individual jumping finals of the Asian Games 2018 will be scheduled for Thursday (Aug 30).

The 18th Asian Games is being co-hosted by Jakarta and Palembang, South Sumatra Province, from Aug 18 to Sept 2, 2018.
