Bandung, W Java, (ANTARA News) - A low intensity earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale hit Bandung district, West Java, on Friday morning.

The earthquake, which struck at 07.52 a.m. local time was centered 19 kilometers southeast of the district at a depth of 4 kilometers, Chief of the Bandung Geophysics Station Tony Agus Wijaya said.

The tremor was also felt by people in neighboring Garut district at II on the Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI).

There was no immediate report of damage.
