Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-owned PT Aneka Tambang has booked a net profit of Rp344.45 billion in the first semester of 2018, up significantly by 169 percent compared with that in the same period in 2017 which stood at Rp496.12 billion.

President Director of PT Antam Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo said in an official statement on Friday that Antam`s financial condition was solid.

It also reflected its earning growth before the interest, taxes, deprecation and amortization (EBITDA) in Semester I which stood at Rp1.38 trillion. It grew by 249 percent compared with the achievement of the EBITDA in Semester 1, 2017

Last year, the EBITDA in the first semester last year it was recorded at Rp396 billion.

"Antam`s positive financial performance growth was mainly due to the growth of the company`s main commodity production and sales performance as well as increased efficiency which resulted in a stable level of operating cash costs," Arie said

Antam`s net sales also recorded a sharp increase of 292 percent to Rp11.82 trillion, compared to the same period in 2017 of Rp3.01 trillion.
