Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Lombok Recovery Consultation Meeting, held by the House of Representatives (DPR) on Monday, asked the government to resolve three problems after the earthquake in Lombok.

The three issues include regulation of earthquake handling, bureaucracy, and disaster management leadership.

"We propose three issues for the government to address regarding the earthquake in Lombok," DPR Deputy Chairperson Fahri Hamzah said after a West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Recovery meeting after the earthquake at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Monday.

He explained that related to regulations, it must involve all parties and the scope of all parties affected.

Hamzah stated that the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) related to the disaster had not involved all parties, such as the Ministry of BUMN; Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regions, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration; and the Ministry of Tourism.

"Secondly, the handling of the earthquake bureaucracy must be an emergency and fast response and cannot be slow as people are being affected," he noted.

Thirdly, according to him, related to leadership, the government should not create confusion, especially in the numbers of disaster victims.

Hamzah revealed that based on the results of a field visit, he and a number of DPR members had identified several issues in the field in general, namely in terms of the two clusters.

"The first is a public cluster, with as many as three levels, including basic or primary infrastructure, secondary infrastructure, and tertiary infrastructure. The second is private cluster, namely houses and logistics," he added.

He stressed that related to the private sector, the residence of those affected is very important. He requested Rp50 million funds for the community to build or repair their destroyed houses.

The consultation meeting was attended by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, the Coordinating Minister for PMK, Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), Minister of Health, Minister of Social Affairs, Minister of Disadvantage Villages, Minister of Tourism, Minister of National Education, Head of BNPB, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Government, NTB DPD Members, Faction Leaders, and Commission Leaders.
