The six medals include one gold and five silver. The six medals were successfully brought to Malang after three students from Tazkia IIBS envoy, namely Ipangga Hulian Khairul Aslam from the high school level and Darvesh Valubia Nabel from the junior high school level were able to set aside 300 teams from various schools in Asia.
One of the participants, Ipangga Hulian, from Malang, East Java, Friday, said Tazkia IIBS participated in a robotics competition in six categories, namely the creative project, time rush, gathering, rescue, sumo and underwater categories. All participating countries do not participate in all categories.
"We prepared the robot to participate in various categories," said Hulian.
In each race, the students fight according to their school level. However, there are several competitions where participants are not only from the junior high school level, but from tertiary institutions as well. Like in the time rush category, participants were students from the University of Malaysia and Tazkia IIBS delegated participants from junior high school students of class VIII.
The creative project category too saw the attendance of 27 participants from various countries and circles, including universities.
The IISRO event is an annual agenda held at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). This competition is not only to win medals, but also a place to warm up for participants to advance to the international race as a whole to face developed countries, such as Japan, America and others.
Hulian said in several countries, this kind of competition had begun to get support from the regional government and the central government.
"Unfortunately, Indonesia has not received full support from the central government or regional governments (provincial / city / district). Hopefully in the future, such competitions can get support in any form to achieve even better achievements," he said.
