"I have not (resigned) from the Presidential spokesman position, but as the spokesman for the pair`s National Campaign Team," Johan said here on Monday.
The former spokesman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that he would focus on his candidacy in the legislative election 2019.
He stressed that he would also concentrate on his task as the presidential spokesman.
The two positions, he noted, as a candidate in the legislative election and as a presidential spokesman, both require commitment of time and spirit.
While as a spokesman for Jokowi-Ma`ruf Amin National Campaign Team, he would have to take part in all the activities of the team during the presidential campaign.
"That would need a lot more time allocation; thus, I have to choose which one to focus on," he noted.
He has been registered as one of the PDI Perjuangan legislative candidates in the 2019 legislative election.
The country will hold a simultaneous legislative and presidential election in April 2019.
