"We are very grateful and encouraging. And again, it will strengthen the opinions, thoughts, and beliefs of the people to support and give their best choice to Jokowi-Ma`ruf," Paloh remarked at Nasdem office in Gondangdia on Wednesday night.
The Nasdem party chairman also expressed hope that the people`s trust will be well maintained until the elections in April 2019.
Nevertheless, Paloh reminded that another important thing that must be safeguarded is the security and and stability of the presidential election.
It is because no matter how much support is given, it will not mean anything if conducive atmosphere ahead of and during the elections is not maintained.
"Hopefully this can be maintained well, because the election is still next year. I only hope that all parties will maintain stability and conducive conditions," Paloh said.
Earlier, Yenny Wahid and nine members of the Gus Dur Cadre Consortium declared support for the Jokowi-Ma`ruf Amin pair.
The nine members of the Gus Dur Cadre Consortium who expressed support for the Jokowi-Ma`ruf pair were the Gus Dur Barricade, the Kampung Nusantara Kiai Forum, Al Mawardi Political Line, the Nusantara Awakening Movement, the Nusantara Student Unit, Millennial Political Movement, Santri Pojokan Community, Women`s Network for NKRI, and the National Concern Forum.
