Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Ministry of Industry is committed to establishing a clean, efficient, effective, and productive bureaucracy that is transparent and serves the community.

"Since 2005 until now, several series of Bureaucracy Reform programs have been implemented to bring about a change towards good and clean governance," Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Haris Munandar stated here on Thursday.

This was conveyed by Munandar while delivering a speech at the Ministry of Industry`s Bureaucratic Reformation Assessment by the Administrative Reform Ministry and Bureaucratic Reform Team in the Garuda Room on the 2nd floor of the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta.

The meeting was attended by all steering teams (Echelon I), Implementation Team (Echelon II), and the Ministry of Industry`s Bureaucratic Reform Technical Team from each area of change.

Munandar explained that the Ministry of Industry had been assessed to carry out the Bureaucratic Reform by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Team, with a score of 77.16 (BB).

According to Munandar, the Ministry of Industry has also currently conducted a Self-Assessment of Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN and RB), with a value of 90.18.

"On this occasion, we will evaluate the implementation of the Bureaucratic Reform program by the KemenPAN and RB Team, and we hope the Bureaucratic Reform Team of the Ministry of Industry would be able to elaborate on the performance achievements made so far," he remarked.

Munandar further remarked that KemenPAN and RB Team had recently sent an Application Letter for the Determination of RPerpres K/L for an increase in Performance Allowances, one of which is the Increase in Performance Allowance of the Ministry of Industry.

With this evaluation and imminent acceptance of the Increase in Performance Allowances, Munandar was optimistic of being able to improve performance and encourage the Ministry of Industry`s officials to carry out the Bureaucracy Reform program.

Furthermore, Munandar explained that the industrial sector, which is the main pillar of national economic development, had contributed significantly to the national economy.

"Among them is to make a large contribution to employment, export revenues, and revenues from state tax and excise income," Munandar added.
