"We are ready if asked to provide our volunteers for use, and our health and medical teams and young people, to be able to help the government officials," Subianto said at his residence in Jalan Kertanegara 4, Jakarta, Monday night.
He said the Prabowo-Sandiaga coalition had decided to temporarily stop campaign activities in Central Sulawesi and also to postpone certain activities elsewhere.
Subianto said Uno and him had decided to immediately gather high-ranking coalition political parties and party wings to raise funds and aid to be deployed to Central Sulawesi.
"And then we want to put to use volunteers from the parties` wings when asked by the government," he said.
Subianto expressed his full support to the government in handling disasters in Central Sulawesi.
According to him, his party did not want to interfere with the implementation of the assistance provided by the government and he believed that all must be in one command and coordination.
"Sandi and I are ready to be called at any time by the government if the government wants to use some of the resources available to us," he said.
The vice-presidential candidate, Uno, stressed that the commitment between him and Subianto at this time was that the Indonesian nation must work together to help its brothers in Central Sulawesi.
According to him, the Indonesian Coalition, Adil Makmur, tried to collect aid for the people in Central Sulawesi and that was an opportunity to temporarily eliminate political interests.
"So we use this opportunity to show the identity of our nation and mutual cooperation," he said.
