Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - The Financial Service Authority (OJK) will organize five activities to give additional substance to the week-long IMF-World Bank annual meetings opened here on Monday.

"The activities are held that the results could be presented in the form of implementation events giving concrete contribution to Indonesia as the organizer especially in financial service industry," Deputy Commissioner of Strategic and Management and Logistics of OJK Anto Prabowo said here on Monday.

The activities include, first - "High Level Policy Dialogue Forum: The Future of Finance" that will involve OJK chief commissioner Wimboh Santoso, economist of Columbia University Joseph Stiglitz, British Finance Minister Philip A. Hammond and academician from Standford University, John B. Taylor.

In the forum, OJK will facilitate interactions and discussions between authority leaders and academicians on transformation of financial service sector amid the era of digital technology revolution to increase financial inclusion and to achieve target in sustainable economic growth.

Second - "Fintech Talk Seminar" held to get overall perspective to study in depth the role of financial technology as the platform of financial inclusion and increase in financing access for small and medium business segment.

Third - "OJK International Seminar Research on Financial Sector and the Future of Finance Seminar" which will present results of contemporary research from various foreign universities and research by OJK together with local universities on contemporary issue of financial sector.

The seminar is supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a forum for academicians, experts, regulators and professionals in financial service industry to promote their understanding of the latest issue of financial sector.

Fourth - Coordinating meeting of Asia`s Financial Service Authority (FSA) to be attended by financial authorities y from Korea, and Japan, This forum will discuss various issues in the era of digital transformation such as cyber security risk.

Fifth - OJK also wants to sign Memorandum of Understanding with Thai and Singapore Financial Service Authorities as a follow-up of earlier meetings.
