Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Host Indonesia clinched gold, silver and bronze medals from women`s T13 sprint at the Asian Para Games 2018 at the Bung Karno Stadium here on Wednesday night.

Indonesia`s Putri Aulia grabbed a gold medal after clocking in at 12.49 seconds, leaving behind her compatriot Ni Made Arianti Putri in the second place with a time of 13 seconds to win a silver medal.

The bronze medal went to Enda Sari Sitorus of Indonesia who clocked in at 13.07 seconds in the visual impairment class.

The Indonesia trio beat Tomomi Sato of Japan, Pornpansa Suwanmahawong of Thailand, and Souliphone Vongoala of Laos.

"We did not imagine that three of us would play in this T13 class. This is the first Asian Para Games for three of us to take part. We thank God that we achieved this result," Putri said.

She pledged to donate part of her medal bonus to the victims of a magnitude 7.4 earthquake and a subsequent tsunami in the province of Central Sulawesi.

"I have intended to donate part of the bonus (to earthquake and tsunami victims) in Palu (capital of Central Sulawesi province), she said.

Meanwhile, Irianti said she will dedicate her medal to the entire Indonesian nation who has supported her in the Asian Para Games` 100-meter sprint.

"We did not imagine that three of us would ascend the stage

(to receive the medals). But I have told my friends that we would ascend the stage together," he said.
