Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Implementation of the "Single Land Registration System," or integrated land registration system, will offer a solution to the archipelago`s land problems, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil stated.

"(This is a solution) because it is applying a `single registration` based on the parcel," Djalil noted at the four-year press conference of Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla Government at Building III, Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

According to Djalil, with the implementation of the land registration system, in the future, by clicking on someone`s citizen identity number (NIK), it will be easy to obtain information on where the land is or whether the land belongs to that person.

Thus, he believes that a system that is just and in accordance with the government-centric vision will also be easier to implement in future.

Moreover, citing his party`s accomplishments, the president said that up to 5.4 million fields were registered to receive land certificates last year; some seven million fields for this year; while nine million fields were targeted for next year.

The ATR minister also pointed out that far better services were offered at BPN offices to the regions.

President Widodo earlier appealed to the community that had received the land rights certificates to be careful while applying for loan funds against their certificates.

"However, be careful if you want to borrow money from the bank. Please count it and calculate the installments every month," Jokowi stated at the ceremony to hand over tens of thousands of land rights certificates to the community in Marunda, Cilincing, Jakarta, recently.

The president reminded that the funds obtained from the loan should be utilized for productive purposes.

The head of state urged the public to not utilize the principal loan fund to purchase vehicles to fuel their consumptive needs.

"Hence, if you borrow from the bank, it can be Rp300 million, but use it entirely for business, investment, or working capital," the president remarked while inviting the public to be careful while awarding certificates.

Widodo stated that the people can purchase the vehicle of their choice from their business profits.
