Jakarta (ANTARA) - The second turbine, as part of the debris of the downed Lion Air JT 610 plane, arrived at the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) site in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Tuesday (Nov 6) night.

The turbine was found at 3 p.m. Western Indonesia Standard Time on Tuesday (Nov 6), according to Colonel Bambang Trijanto, the Indonesian Navy liaison officer.

Discovery of the turbine coincided with the recovery of 20 bodies that arrived on Tuesday, he noted, adding that the second turbine was found by divers of the joint Search and Rescue team.

In the meantime, the plane fragments were sent to the National Transportation Safety Commission, while the bagged corpses were moved to the Indonesian Police hospital on Tuesday.

Apart from the turbine, the team also found other debris in the form of parts of the jet turbine, tubes and independent batteries, and the recorded power supplies.

The second turbine was discovered at a depth of 30 meters below sea level.

The Lion Air flight JT 610 crashed into the Java Sea off Tanjung Karawang, West Java, 13 minutes after taking off from Cengkareng`s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 6:20 a.m. local time en route to Pangkalpinang on Monday (Oct 29).
