"The aim is that all State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) can have associations of millennials as a platform to exchange thoughts, ideas and innovation to be propose the Board of Directors," she said in an event attended by thousands of SOE millennials in Surabaya, East Java, Saturday evening.
She encouraged all SOE directors to adopt the thought process of millennials when thinking about competitiveness in the future.
"We aim to create a synergy with the younger generation and encourage them to think about the future of the SOEs," she added.
Therefore, the Minister hoped that the young generation, through their associations they formed, would have the courage to convey creative and innovative ideas.
That way, she stressed, the millennial generation is not only thinking of itself but also about the future of Indonesia.
Additionally, she also encouraged the young generation of SOEs to pay attention to the surrounding community.
"My hope is for us to not only aim at advancing state-owned enterprises, but also to be able to help each other and be alongside of the people who need help. That is the millennial spirit of the SOEs for the country," she said.
