Singapore (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo, on the first day of his visit to Singapore, will carry out four work agendas, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated.

"For today, four programs will be carried out by the president of the Republic of Indonesia, the first being the opening of the ASEAN Summit, and the second being an event with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council or ABAC," Foreign Minister Marsudi remarked at the Conrad Hotel, Tuesday.

According to the minister, the subsequent agenda was attending the ASEAN Official Dinner Banquet and the ASEAN Summit plenary meeting.

The foreign minister affirmed that several matters will be discussed by Indonesia, including the Comprehensive Economic Partnership in the Region (RCEP), and the Indo-Pacific.

In addition, on the second day in Singapore, the president has planned to carry out dozens of agendas, such as seven meetings related to the ASEAN, and several bilateral meetings.

"On the third day, the last day, there will be some six programs. Five programs are related to the ASEAN and the other is about bilateral meetings," Marsudi stated.

Meanwhile, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita remarked that the minister had met with representatives of Japan, China, Australia, and South Korea that expressed their support for Indonesia as chair of the RCEP Coordinating Team.

The president and First Lady Iriana arrived at the Changi International Airport on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m. local time.

The head of state will be in Singapore until Thursday (Nov 15).
