"At the bilateral meeting, Indonesia and Australia discussed the progress they have achieved in their cooperation since last August, including a sub-regional meeting on counter terrorism held in Jakarta on November 6, 2018," Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi said following the meeting.
The two leaders also discussed the ways to enhance cooperation particularly interfaith dialog to encourage better relations between the two neighboring countries, she said.
"They also discussed interfaith dialog in which Indonesia is viewed as a model for pluralism," she said.
In addition, Indonesia also reiterated its position to create Palestinian-Israeli peace based on the principle of two-state solution, she added.
The minister said Indonesia believed the two-state solution is the appropriate way to settle the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in a fairly manner.
At the meeting, Morrison also reiterated his country`s support for the Indonesia-initiated concept of Indo-Pacific cooperation which gives priority to ASEAN centrality.
During the meeting, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, and Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita.
