Chief Campaign Team of Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Amin Presidential-Vice Presidential candidates for Batam, Soerya Respationo, said here on Wednesday that Amin will carry out a number of activities and meet his supporters.
It is expected that Amin will arrive at Hang Natim Airport at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He will be driven to Harmoni One Hotel where he will meet Muslim organizations, ulemas, leaders of Islamic boarding schools, kyai (Muslim clerics), and mosque prayer leaders.
After meeting the kyais, Amin will say his Dhuhur (noon) prayer at Batam Grand Mosque before heading for the secretariat of his Regional Campaign Team.
The running mate of Jokowi will deliver his oration in connection with the National Heroes Day. In the secretariat, the vice presidential candidate No. 01 will commission the personnel of the Regional Campaign Team of Jokowi-Amin presidential candidate pair.
He will conduct several other activities on the second day of his visit on Friday.
The Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) will organize a presidential election in April 2019.
The presidential election will be followed by two pairs of presidential candidates, with pair number 01 being Jokowi-Amin and number 02 being Prabowo-Sandiaga Salahudin Uno.
A few weeks ago, Uno also visited Batam to meet thousands of supporters in a series of events in one day.
