Padang, W Sumatra(ANTARA News) - An earthquake, measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale, jolted Padang, West Sumatra Province, on Sunday at 4:27 p.m. local time.

The quake`s epicenter was located at 3.03 degrees southern latitude and 99.84 degrees eastern longitude, 117 kilometers (km) southeast of Padangpariaman, and at a depth 17 km.

Reports on damages and casualties were not immediately available.
