Al-Quds(Antara/WAFA-OANA) - Israeli authorities Sunday night decided to ban seven female Jerusalemites from entering al-Aqsa Mosque compound for two weeks, said a lawyer.

Khaled Zabarqa, a lawyer, said that Israeli military police detained six Palestinian women and a young girl as they were leaving East Jerusalem`s flashpoint through the gates.

The detainees were released afterwards after being forced to sign orders banning them entry into the holy site for 14 days.

Zabarqa pointed out that the women were detained for sitting in the eastern part of the mosque compound, known as Bab al-Rahma.
